The Arroyos® Psychological Associates (TAPA) is a multidisciplinary group of psychologists and psychiatrists who provide comprehensive mental health services across a wide spectrum of treatment settings. We work in office, hospital, residential treatment, sober and transitional living, and intensive outpatient settings and we are able to provide seamless integrated and continuous care across these treatment settings.The Arroyos® Psychological Associates is located in Pasadena, California. We also provide mental health services in a satellite office on the west side of Los Angeles, California.

Schizoaffective Disorder is a serious mental disorder in which the person meets some symptoms of schizophrenia and some symptoms of a serious mood disorder such as bipolar disorder or major depression. There are two subtypes, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Type, and Schizoaffective Disorder, Depressive Type. The person does not meet all of the symptoms necessary to diagnose schizophrenia, nor does the person meet the criteria to diagnose Major Depression or Bipolar Disorder. Schizoaffective Disorder is like a blend of Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder or Major Depression.
Structured Living refers to a variety of therapeutic environments in which the patient resides while receiving treatment. Some settings are licensed facilities wherein the patient receives on-site clinical treatment. Other facilities are unlicensed residences where the patient receives a safe, structured living environment while receiving clinical treatment off-site. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) provide day treatment services for patients who require transition from hospital to home, or who are living in Sober Living or Transitional Living residences. IOPs are typically structured around a group therapy model, and operate from mid-morning to early afternoon. Patients attend IOPs one to three days a week. Attendance at an IOP provides structure and socialization for patients who are in early stages recovery from severe psychiatric or chemical dependency disorders...
