An article in MedPageToday by John Gever reviews research by a Swedish registry study.  Findings showed that a review of records of 80,000 patients showed that patients who were prescribed antipsychotic medication were 45% less likely to commit violent crimes than were patients who had no record of a current prescription.  The article goes on to reinforce the importance of patients who have bipolar disorder or schizophrenia to stay in treatment rather than stop treatment. To read articles such as these, click here.
