An article in Science Daily reports on the high frequency of cannabis plus alcohol being detected in car accidents. New research shows that when cannabis is used simultaneously with alcohol the cannabis produces significantly higher blood concentrations of its main ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) than does cannabis use alone. Experts on the subject agree that the combination of alcohol and cannabis increases the risk of crashing more than with either substance taken by itself.
