An article in Daily Mail reports on a new study that found wearing a Fitbit could track changes in sleeping patterns and warn doctors of changes in sleeping patterns that hint at relapse in people with schizophrenia. A Fitbit is a gadget that a person wears on his or her wrist that can track activity such as exercise, food, weight, and sleep. Deteriorating sleep patterns have signaled a potential relapse for quite some time, but objective measurement of such patterns has been difficult to obtain. The stream of information gathered from the Fitbit would allow the clinical team to examine the relationship between sleep and relapse in schizophrenia.  To read this article in its entirety, click here.
