A recent study found that people having frequent nightmares admitted to having severe depression and insomnia, UPI reports. The three symptoms that most often predicted frequent nightmares were insomnia, exhaustion, and “negative attitude towards self.” These findings show a clear connection between well-being and nightmares, which is most evident in depression. Previous research has found that recalling the nightmare verbally and connect it with a happy ending may alleviate the frequency and some anxiety surrounding recurring nithgmares.
