New research suggests the benefits of exercise may have a positive effect on ADHD symptoms over time, reports an article in ADDitude magazine. The short-term benefits of exercise have been shown in previous studies and include increased focus and decreased hyperactivity after engaging in aerobic exercise.The new study has found the amount of exercise during the teenage years was inversely related to the severity of symptoms in early adulthood, no matter how severe the symptoms were at the onset.
