ADHD News Feed reports on an article that states that symptom improvement in ADHD may be largely based on genetics. When researchers examined  the genetic patterns of twins and compared the patterns to the severity of ADHD symptoms over time they found that the persistence of hyperactivity was mostly due to a combination of two or more genes. The researchers also found that inattention was dictated by one powerful gene. The identification of these genes can potentially help to predict how symptoms will decrease or increase over time.
