An article in the Daily Mail reports a study in which the mechanisms by which crystal methamphetamine (“meth”) users damage the brain and body.  Meth users are known to age prematurely and develop age-related diseases such as hardening of the arteries and scarring of the lungs.  Research reported in this article shows that methamphetamine causes abnormal fat metabolism resulting in severe inflammation which in turn triggered premature aging and cell death.  To read this article in its entirety, click here.
