In an article reported in Psychiatric Times, the association between pathological gambling and co-occurring psychiatric disorders is explored.  The article notes that more than 2 million Americans experience pathological gambling.  The majority of pathological gamblers also have one or more psychiatric conditions, such as depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, a personality disorder, an anxiety disorder, impulse control problems around shopping, sex, stealing, or emotional outbursts, or abuse or addiction to drugs or alcohol.  To read this article in its entirety, click here.
