We are a primary mental health treatment center that specializes in serious psychological disorders and high-risk patient management. We specialize in the treatment of patients who have a primary diagnosis of depression, bipolar disorder, an anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or a psychotic spectrum disorder. About 50% of our patients have a co-occurring substance use disorder, which we routinely treat, not as a separate problem, but in the context of their primary psychological and psychiatric condition.
Our treatment program is sometimes confused with “dual diagnosis” treatment programs, which offer different services than we do. Most dual diagnosis treatment programs are primary drug and alcohol programs that offer some secondary mental health services which vary in quality from program to program. Patients admitted to state-licensed dual diagnosis programs must have a primary drug and alcohol diagnosis, not a primary mental health diagnosis.
